  • How often do I need to replace my boiler?
The general life span of a boiler is between 10 and 15 years. You should start thinking about a new boiler if your boiler is not energy efficient or when the cost of repairs start piling up and a new boiler with an extended warranty could save you money.
  • How often do I need my boiler serviced?
You should have your boiler serviced every year. Doing so will help prolong its lifespan.
  • Why do I need my boiler serviced?
Getting a service when everything is running smoothly may seem unnecessary. However, a boiler service keeps you safe. A boiler can kill you if carbon monoxide escapes, as well as the potential to damage your property due to water leaks. These are all things that can be caught early and prevented by a regular annual service. Secondly, to ensure the efficiency of the boiler and that it is burning correctly. Finally, to keep your warranty on your newly installed boiler. (Many forget that to keep the warranty on a new boiler thats been installed, the big manufactuers require a yearly service)
  • What does a boiler service entail?
Each boiler has a different service procedure set out in the manufactures instructions. However, the fundamentals are the same. - We check the boiler filters and make sure they are clean. - We make sure all the seals are in check. Ensuring no gas escapes or carbon monoxide leaks. - We clean out various parts of the boiler i.e the condensate trap that can lead to your boiler not working later on or even worse damage your boiler to the point that a replacement is unavoidable. - We inspect the flue (the exhaust for the boiler that get rid of those nasty fumes) These are just some of the things our experienced engineers during an annual service carried out by Green Gas London.
  • Are we Gas Safe?
Absolutely! Our gas safe number is 637445. You are in safe hands!
